The pleasure of skiing all around the Mont Blanc. A special Valley with four separate areas all with their own character and personality. Freeride, freestyle, steep slopes, beginner skiing, snow parks and bordercross, cross country and back country skiing. The valley has everything and is fun for everyone who loves sliding downhill.

Les Grands Montets

This mythical area is renowned as being the ultimate test of your ability and offers some of the highest and steepest runs in the Alpes. From 1235m to3300m this area is North facing and skiable all the way through to May and will test how good you really are.

Les Chosalets

This is a totally cute beginners area with two drag lifts and a bar conveniently placed for parents or whoever gets tired. The perfect place to learn and gain confidence.

Balme Vallorcine

The setting for this area is the perfect mountain villages of Le Tour and Vallorcine. This area offers a variety of skiing on rolling slopes and some great paths through the trees. On the sunny days this is a wonderful area but beware if there is wind as it roars up the valley and can also get very strong and cold in this area.

La Poya

At le Buet in Vallorcine this incredibly pretty and perfect two lift area is perfect for beginners and lazy days alike

Brévent – Flégère

These two areas are linked with one access from the centre of town and the other from the golf course. Stunning views and something for everyone with some tough and long runs and specific beginner areas. A great area for mixed ability gropups as everyone (even non skiers) can easily meet at the top of Planpraz, for a great lunch with stunning views.

Le Savoy

This is the small (one drag and one carpet) area for beginners at the bottom of Brevent area.

Les Planards

A separate are for beginers and intermediate skiers accessed from the edge of Chamonix, with a carpet lift, drag and chair lift  and with easy access and a great restaurant this is another lovely area for mixed levels to start on and get those muscles working again. Added bonus – there is a Winter luge area that is great fun: the luge Alpine Coaster.

Les Houches

My favorite area, maybe one of the easiest but with varied and great skiing on wide pistes and forest trails, always sunny, never closed, snow park for the kids, a lovely ESF school, great restaurants and access for non skiers. Just perfect – but don't tell everyone as it is never crowded either…

Le Tourchet

A perfect small one drag lift area in the centre of Les Houches for total beginers and sledging.
